Monticello Fire Department responded to 7 calls for service.
At 12:37 AM The department was dispatched to a motor vehicle incident on Hwy 1275 N. Fire personnel assisted Wayne County EMS on the scene as there was no entrapment.
At 04:01 AM Firefighters responded to a call for a submerged vehicle on KY-3284. Fire personnel assisted Wayne County Sheriff’s Office Deputy in assisting the driver out of her vehicle and onto dry land.
At 05:16 MFD responded to a call for a submerged vehicle on Ky-3284. Wayne County Rescue Squad personnel assisted the driver out of the vehicle and onto dry land.
At 08:16 Monticello Fire responded to a water heater on fire on North Second Street.
At 10:00 AM firefighters responded to a motor vehicle collision on Ky-167 that took down a utility pole and caused the roadway to be shut down for several hours and residents to be out of power in the area.
At 10:14 AM the department was dispatched to a commercial structure for a fire alarm.
At 11:12 AM Monticello Fire Department set up an engine to assist Wayne County Road Department draft from a flooded area off of Roger’s Grove Road. Residents off of Joy Dr. were unable to leave their homes due to the flooded areas. The county had a pump set up and MFD provide additional pumping to speed the process.
