The following activity occurred from 12:01 a.m. – 11:59 p.m. Wednesday, January 1, 2025.
12:16 a.m. – Alarm activated at First Baptist Church KY 90 East. Accidental activation.
12:30 a.m. – Wellbeing check requested on children at residence on North Second Street. Negative contact with anyone at the residence.
1:21 a.m. – LCRH request MPD make contact with family at residence on Willa Drive. Message delivered.
1:44 a.m. – Reckless driving complaint white Chrysler van area of North Second Street.
1:56 a.m. – Request to speak with officer regarding traffic collision last evening.
5:19 a.m. – Business security checks, extra patrol overnight: Advance Auto, KY Farm Bureau & CTS.
6:48 a.m. – Wellbeing check requested for elderly couple in vehicle in Hardee’s parking lot. Checked okay.
9:09 a.m. – Request to speak with officer at McDonald’s regarding unauthorized use of vehicle.
9:38 a.m. – Request to speak with officer on Conley Street regarding criminal mischief to vehicles.
10:18 a.m. – Report of juvenile missing on Lincoln Avenue. Juvenile located.
2:11 p.m. – Foot patrol Walmart.
7:06 p.m. – Hit & Run collision in Wendy’s parking lot. Investigation ongoing.
9:49 p.m. – Foot patrol Walmart.
10:38 p.m. – Prowler complaint on Lincoln Avenue.

6:00 a.m. – Business security checks, extra patrol overnight: Huddle House, Community Care Clinic and New’s Monticello Funeral Home. All secure, no issues discovered.
7:40 a.m. – School Zone patrols.
8:48 a.m. – Request to speak with officer at MPD regarding hit & run investigation.
8:55 a.m. – Reckless driving complaint on moped on Lockett Street.
11:28 a.m. – Complaint of suspicious activity on Clay Street.
12:01 p.m. – Officer out at WCDC follow-up investigation.
12:25 p.m. – Shoplifting complaint at Walmart.
2:35 p.m. – Request to speak with officer regarding hit & run investigation.
2:50 p.m. – School zone patrols.
3:10 p.m. – Request to speak with officer on Pine Street regarding harassment/trespassing by relatives.
4:45 p.m. – Foot patrol Walmart.
5:01 p.m. – Request for officer at Mason Greene Apartments. Caller reports out-of-control juvenile attempted to assault mother.
6:02 p.m. – Shoplifting complaint at Advance Auto Parts.
Perpetrator left prior to officer arrival. Investigation initiated.
6:43 p.m. – Traffic stop conducted on Rolling Acres (connected to shoplifting complaint). Arrest made. Sgt. Josh Smith charged Bruce Gaige Bowen, 24, with Theft by Unlawful Taking, Operating on Suspended License, No Insurance, No Registration and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
6:47 p.m. – Reckless driving complaint on Butternut Bread truck, last seen in area of stoplight #4.
9:05 p.m. – Complaint of juvenile yelling outside of residence on Third Street.
9:59 p.m. – Foot patrol Walmart.
10:18 p.m. – One-vehicle, non-injury wreck on Hardwood Drive.
11:05 p.m. – Removal of debris in roadway on Kendrick Avenue.
