Your Monticello Police Department will be conducting periodic traffic safety checkpoints at various, pre-approved locations and times. The intent of a traffic safety checkpoint is to promote safety for all motorists and to provide a deterrent for those who violate state law.
Our efforts during traffic safety checkpoints will focus on operator impairment, occupant protection, vehicular equipment deficiencies and the valid licensing of drivers. Other violations of law and/or other public safety issues that arise will be addressed.

• Stokes Street & Boone Street
• Lincoln Avenue & Boone Street
• North First Street & Cherry Street
• Barnes Drive & Rolling Hills Boulevard
• KY 3106 near McClellan Drive
• Lockett Street & Hardwood Drive
• Lockett Street & Virgil Street
