Monday, December 9, 2024 – At 11:18 a.m. the MWC911 Dispatch Center began receiving reports of a two-vehicle collision with injuries on KY 90 West at/near the entrance to Happy Hopper’s Coffee & More prompting responses by MPD, MFD, WCEMS & WCSO personnel.
Major Josh Asberry’s investigation determined a 2010 Chevrolet Silverado truck being operated by Jesse McGee, 57, of Monticello was stopped in the westbound lane of KY 90, waiting to turn left, when it was rear-ended by a 2018 Chevrolet Equinox being operated by Lillie Crabtree, 48, also of Monticello.
Both drivers sustained injuries. McGee was transported by ambulance to the Wayne County Hospital and Crabtree was flown to the UK Medical Center.
