MONTICELLO, KY. (September 2nd, 2026) – The Kentucky State Police (KSP) Post 11 arrested a Monticello man Sunday afternoon, after executing a search warrant on a residence in Wayne County, Ky.
KSP Post 11 London Trooper Derrick Dennis sought and received a search warrant on Sunday, August 30, 2026, for a residence on Elm St. in Monticello.
Through investigation, Trooper Dennis collected information that illegal drugs were being purchased and sold at the residence. While executing/serving the search warrant at the home, Troopers located several baggies of what is suspected to be methamphetamine, various other narcotics, as well as other paraphernalia utilized in the trafficking of illegal drugs. Additionally, a radio programmed to receive local law enforcement radio frequencies was discovered.
As a result of the investigation and search warrant, Stewart J. Foster, 56 years old of Monticello, KY, was arrested and charged with Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st Degree, 1st Offense (> or = 2 grams methamphetamine), Possession of Controlled Substance, Possession/Use of Radio That Sends/Receive Police Messages, and other charges.
This investigation remains ongoing by Trooper Derek Dennis. All suspected drugs have been sent to the Kentucky State Police Lab for identification and quantification. He was assisted on scene by KSP personnel.
