Monticello Police Chief Josh Asberry reports the following arrests;
8-28-2026 – Diana Duncan was arrested and charged with Theft by Unlawful Taking (Shoplifting) by Major Smith.
8-29-2026 – Terry Martin was arrested and charged with Fleeing and Evading Police 3rd Degree, Disorderly Conduct 2nd Degree, Menacing, Resisting Arrest by Officer Thompson and assisted on scene by Officer Bertram and Wayne County Sheriff Deputy Jerry Meadows.
8-30-2026 – Steven Upchurch was arrested and charged with Trafficking in Controlled Substance 1st Offense (Heroin), Drug Paraphernalia – Buy/Possess, Public Intoxication (Excludes Alcohol) by Officer Smedley and assisted on scene by Officer Thompson and Officer Guffey.
8-30-2026 – Cody Lewis was arrested and served with a Warren County Probation Warrant by Officer Thomas.
8-31-2026 – Mark Mcclendon was arrested and charged with Operating a Motor Vehicle while under the influence of Alcohol by Officer Guffey and assisted on scene by Officer Thomas.
9-1-2026 – Dylan Perkins was arrested and served with a Wayne County Indictment Warrant for the underlying charge of Assault 1st by Officer Smedley and assisted on scene by Officer Guffey.
9-1-2026 – Jacob Morgan was arrested and charged with Assault 4th Degree (Dating Violence) and Disorderly Conduct 2nd Degree by Officer Thomas and assisted on scene by Officer Smedley and Officer Guffey.
