James Crabtree, age 69, of Monticello, passed away Sunday, August 30, 2026 at UK Medical Center in Lexington.
He is survived by: siblings, David Crabtree, Donald Crabtree (Betty), Todd Crabtree (Vicky) and Loretta Francis (Jeff); nieces, Mashea “Shaker Bake” and Falisha (Blondie); nephew, Michael; numerous great nieces and nephews; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 3, 2026, between 5 pm – 8 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 4, 2026, at 1 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Crabtree Cemetery on Harvey Crabtree Road.
