(WKYT) – The Morehead Police Department announced on Tuesday that it has a new police chief.
Josh Ison brings years of law enforcement experience and leadership to the role, according to a social media release.
“Throughout his career, he has demonstrated a strong commitment to public safety, community engagement, and building positive relationships throughout our city.
We are excited for this new chapter and look forward to Chief Ison’s leadership as he guides the Morehead Police Department into the future while continuing its mission to protect and serve our community,” the release reads.
The department asks the community to congratulate Ison on his new role.
