Special Appointed Judge Hon David Williams conducted a hearing in the case of Commonwealth Vs Willard Upchurch. Following that hearing the defendant is to be evaluated after which an agreed order will be submitted setting a hearing date in the case.
Willard Ray Upchurch of Monticello, KY is charged with murder and tampering with physical evidence following a fatal shooting in September 2024. In a later grand jury action, he was additionally indicted on three counts of wanton endangerment.
