(WKYT) – Federal authorities investigated London City Hall on Friday, according to city officials.
Mayor Tracie Handley said federal authorities contacted the city on Thursday regarding an ongoing investigation.
Handley said that city hall was closed on Friday to allow investigators to complete their work and that the city fully cooperated with the investigation.
She also said the city could not offer further comment because the investigation has been ongoing for several months and remains active.
London City Hall will reopen on Monday.
WKYT has reached out to federal investigators about the matter but has yet to hear back.
