(WFIE/WKYT) – A Henderson County Sheriff’s Office deputy is now facing several criminal charges.
Henderson County Jail records show Deputy Gary Jones was booked and released on a $500 bond Sunday.
Jones was booked on charges of assault, unlawful imprisonment and harassment.
We were told the Henderson Police Department made the arrest, but details surrounding the arrest were not immediately released.
As we reported, Jones was recently named in a lawsuit after a woman, who was a passenger in a vehicle involved in a pursuit, was shot. At the time of that report, we were told Deputy Jones did not face any disciplinary action in the incident.
We have reached out to the Henderson County Sheriff’s Office for a statement and more information, but we have yet to hear back from them.
