(WKYT) – Laurel County sheriff’s investigators say one person died and three others were injured in a two-vehicle crash Saturday evening on East Laurel Road, about six miles east of London.
The crash was reported at 6:26 p.m. on July 25, 2026, and completely shut down the roadway as deputies and emergency crews responded, according to the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office.
Investigators said a westbound car pulled out from a business parking lot onto East Laurel Road and into the path of an eastbound pickup truck, causing a collision between the two vehicles.
The driver of the car, 52-year-old Jason Hoskins, was taken to St. Joseph Hospital in London, where he was pronounced dead a short time later, authorities said.
A passenger in the car was airlifted to the University of Kentucky Hospital in Lexington with critical injuries. The truck’s driver and a passenger were taken by private vehicle for treatment of possible injuries.
The Laurel County Coroner’s Office, Bush Fire and Rescue, Ambulance Inc. of Laurel County and the London Laurel Rescue Squad assisted at the scene. The crash remains under investigation by the Sheriff’s Office.
