(WKYT) – Casey County Emergency Management lifted a burn ban in the area effective Monday, July 20.
The agency said recent rainfall and the continued pumping of water from the Green River into Lake Liberty provided “encouraging” improvements in lake levels.
While the burn ban was lifted and lake levels have improved, water conservation measures and restrictions remain in place.
Casey County Emergency Management also advised people to use caution with any outdoor burning and to follow local fire safety practices.
