(WYMT) – Police in Laurel County said they charged two people after they learned they had warrants out for their arrest.
Deputies with the sheriff’s office took Tricia Croley and Damon Bennett into custody.
The situation started when police noticed an occupied vehicle sitting in an employee area of a local business in the southern part of the county.
When police came across the duo, they noticed a plastic baggie they were possessing contained suspected narcotics.
Police said at one point, Croley, 51, of Williamsburg, gave them a false identification card that had belonged to another woman.
Deputies later discovered a bag that they believed had several suspected narcotics. They also learned Croley had an indictment warrant for her arrest.
Police also learned that Bennett, 48, of Williamsburg, had an outstanding warrant for his arrest.
The two were taken to the Laurel County Correctional Center.
