On Monday (Dec 1) at 12:11 p.m. the Monticello Police Department, Monticello Fire Department and Wayne County EMS responded to a two-vehicle collision with injuries on North Main Street in front of Elk Spring Cemetery.Sgt. Josh Smith’s investigation determined Michelle Dane, 48, of Monticello, was traveling northbound in a 2001 Buick Lesabre when a 2004 Chevrolet Avalanche being driven by Geraldine Kinnett, 85, of Monticello, made a left turn resulting in the vehicles colliding.
Dane was transported by WCEMS to the Wayne County Hospital for examination and treatment. Kinnett denied being injured and declined treatment/transportation by WCEMS.
