According to Wayne County Sheriff Tim Catron a wanted Monticello man has been arrested after a search of a local business and a foot pursuit.
On June 17, 2025, at 3:07 pm Wayne County Sheriff Office Deputies Valis Smedley and Cody Neal observed the wanted man on a bicycle behind the Tractor Supply Store on North Main Street. After the man observing the Deputies, he entered the retail store. Both Deputies then entered to locate him. During the search Deputies were unable to located him inside the store then located him hiding outside in a fenced in area behind a flap of a large tent. When the Deputies informed the man, he was under arrest he began to run away. Deputies then gave chase and after a short distance tackled him to the ground.
Deputy Smedley charged and arrested Albert Young of Monticello, KY. for fleeing or evading Police-3rd degree, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct-2nd degree and menacing. Young was also arrested on 2 Pulaski County Circuit Court Warrants of Arrest for Probation Violation and Violation of Supervision Report on the underlying charges of possession of a controlled substance-1st degree (methamphetamine) and probation violation (for felony offense).
Young was lodged in the Wayne County Detention Center.
The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office also arrested Terrie E. Parris of Monticello, KY. on a Wayne County District Court Warrant of Arrest for failure to pay or show cause on the underlying charge of failure of owner to maintain required insurance.
Parris was lodged in the Wayne County Detention Center.
