Court appearances were made this week in two higher profile cases.
Amit Patel, 37, and Dishaben Patel, 28, both from Georgia who were arrested last week by Sgt. Josh Smith and with Theft by Deception (over $10,000), Exploitation of an Adult and Engaging in Organized Crime appeared in court via zoom conference from the detention center. Both entered not guilty pleas, with bond to remain the same. A preliminary hearing was set for March 31st.
Matthew Vaughn who was arrested by KSP on charges of Rape, Sexual Abuse, and unlawful transaction with minor appeared in court with his council, probable cause was entered which will send the case over to the Wayne County Grand Jury for Possible Indictment.
