Randy Kauffman, 34, of Nancy, was arrested at 3:02 a.m. on Cornerstone Drive, off Michigan Avenue by MPD Officer Jeramy Thompson and WCSO Deputy Nick Bertram who responded to a 911 call reporting “a male only wearing underwear was beating on the caller’s rear door, attempting to gain entry into the residence”.
The responding officers located Kauffman on the back porch holding a wooden cane, under the influence of drug(s).
Kauffman was arrested without further incident and charged with Public Intoxication, Disorderly Conduct, Attempted Burglary and Criminal Mischief.
Kauffman was processed and lodged in the Wayne County Detention Center.
