More than 122,000 cases of Gatorade have been recalled nationwide, according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. The recall covers 28‑ounce bottles of Lemon Lime, Lemon Lime Zero, Orange, and Orange Zero flavors.
Officials say the drinks were pulled because they contain undeclared Yellow No. 5 and Yellow No. 6 dyes, which could cause temporary or medically reversible health effects for some consumers.
The affected products were distributed across 37 states, including Kentucky, Tennessee, and others throughout the South and Midwest. The FDA classified the recall as Class II, meaning the risk of serious health consequences is considered remote.
Consumers are urged to check their bottles and avoid drinking the affected flavors until replacements are issued.
