(WKYT) – God’s Pantry Food Bank is inviting people to wear orange for Hunger Action Day.
Hunger Action Day is a national day of awareness that takes place during Hunger Action Month, according to God’s Pantry, and is meant to remind people that everyone can play a role in helping end hunger.
“Something as simple as wearing orange can start meaningful conversations,” God’s Pantry said.
More than 314,000 Kentuckians across God’s Pantry Food Bank’s service area face food insecurity, the organization reported.
In addition to spreading awareness throughout Hunger Action Month, people are also encouraged to donate, volunteer with the Food Bank and advocate for policies and programs that help people access nutritious food.
