(WKYT) – Gov. Andy Beshear announced on Sept. 17 that more than $10.4 million in Federal Emergency Management Agency disaster funds were secured by his office.
The funds are set to reimburse the Kentucky Division of Emergency Management, Kentucky State Parks, Fort Boonesborough and Breathitt, Caroll and Owsley counties for expenses from 2022 and 2025 flooding events.
Reimbursements include:
- $9.4 million to KYEM for flooding in the summer of 2022
- $637,945.23 to Breathitt County for flooding in February 2025
- $232,900 to Kentucky State Parks, Fort Boonesborough for flooding in April 2025
- $213,910.97 to Carroll County for flooding in April 2025
- $117,849.58 to Owsley County for flooding in April 2025
