Former Kentucky governor appears in court

(WKYT) – A former Kentucky governor remains in jail as he appeals a 60-day jail sentence.

Former Kentucky Gov. Matt Bevin was in court Monday for a motion regarding attorneys’ fees in his family court case.

His adoptive son, Jonah Bevin, is asking the court to award him money, claiming he was neglected by his parents and sent to an abusive boarding school.

Bevin was arrested earlier this month on the set of a movie in Bourbon County after a warrant was issued earlier this summer when he missed several court dates and submitted documents requested by the court with numerous redactions.
