(WKYT) – The only adult charged in the murder of a Pulaski County woman had his charges amended during a preliminary hearing on Wednesday.
Officials say 20-year-old McCoy Chaney is now charged with complicity to the following crimes: murder, robbery and burglary.
He was previously charged with murder, robbery and burglary.
In an interview from jail with WKYT, Chaney claimed that he had no idea of the intentions of the others charged in the murder of 70-year-old Sherri Mitko and that he thought he was just giving them a ride to a friend’s house.
Mitko was found dead in her Lower Line Creek Road home from gunshot wounds on Aug. 12. Four teens are charged in connection with her murder.
