Sentencing delayed for two charged in connection with death of Lexington toddler

(WKYT) – Sentencing was delayed in the case of two people who pleaded guilty in connection with the death of a Lexington toddler.

Due to procedural issues, the judge in the case said sentencing for Kyle Guindon and Briana Johnson would have to be continued.

Two people charged in the death of a Lexington toddler were sentenced Monday, Aug. 31.

Guindon and Johnson pleaded guilty in June 2026 to first-degree manslaughter and criminal abuse. Guindon also pleaded guilty to assault.

Guindon and Johnson were arrested in 2024 after 20-month-old Joshua Bowen was found unresponsive at a Lexington home.

The next sentencing hearing is scheduled for Oct. 21 at 1 p.m.
