A major safety improvement project is scheduled to begin this week at the intersection of KY 90 and KY 558 in Clinton County. State transportation officials say the work is part of a Highway Safety Improvement Project aimed at reducing crashes and improving traffic flow along one of the county’s busiest corridors.
The project will include minor widening along KY 90 and the addition of new left‑turn lanes for drivers turning onto KY 558. Construction will take place between KY 3062 and Hayes Creek, creating a work zone that may cause delays for motorists traveling through the area.
Drivers should expect intermittent lane closures throughout the project as crews work to complete the upgrades. The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet awarded the contract to Rame Contracting LLC, with a total project cost of $1.26 million.
