Josh Humble

Josh Humble was born November 21, 1985, and departed this life Wednesday, August 19, 2026, reaching the age of 40 years.

He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Rebecca (Dick) Humble; his son, Dalton McKane Humble; two daughters, Sydney Jane and Myra Burke Humble; parents, Tim and Becky Humble; sister, Hannah (Christian) Long; niece, Ella Claire Long; along with several aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and loved ones who deeply mourn his passing.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Bobby and Mary Burke; paternal grandparents, Daniel Humble, and Jean Humble; and father-in-law, Phillip Dick.

Josh was baptized on January 9, 2000, and was an active member of the Monticello Church of Christ.

He enjoyed life to the fullest, but above all else, he treasured the time he spent with his family. His family was his greatest joy, and he was always happiest surrounded by the people he loved.

Josh was a hardworking and dedicated man who proudly worked alongside his dad at FloLine Contracting, where he served as a project manager, pipeline worker, and heavy equipment operator. He took great pride in his work and never shied away from hard work.

Outside of work, Josh loved making memories. Some of his favorite times were spent on Lake Cumberland with family and friends, enjoying the water and the beautiful outdoors.

He loved riding side by sides, and playing his guitar. He was a collector of guns and enjoyed shooting them, and working with his bees as a beekeeper.

He also enjoyed cooking on the smoker and sharing good food with the people he loved.

One of Josh’s greatest joys was being a dad. He loved watching his children play sports and was always their biggest supporter and #1 fan. Whether he was cheering from the sidelines or simply spending time with them, his children knew how deeply they were loved.

Josh lived a full life surrounded by family, friends, hard work, laughter, and countless memories. His love for his family and the memories he created with them will remain in their hearts forever.

He was a loving husband, father, son, relative and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 23, 2026, between 4 pm – 9 pm at the Flo-Line Construction Building at 189 Sunstar Blvd., Monticello, KY 42633.
