Jordan Crabtree, the local Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) Administrator and Code Enforcement Officer for the City of Monticello, has been appointed Treasurer of the statewide Kentucky ABC Administrators Association.
The announcement marks a significant milestone for local municipal leadership, expanding Crabtree’s regulatory and administrative responsibilities from Wayne County to the broader Commonwealth.
Dual Roles in Local Governance
Crabtree was appointed to his dual role as Monticello’s ABC Administrator and Code Enforcement Officer during a regular meeting of the Monticello City Council on June 9, 2025.
In his city capacity, Crabtree manages all municipal alcohol license applications and enforces compliance with state and local regulations. His office is responsible for:

License Processing: Overseeing local and state alcohol license applications in coordination with city, county, health, and fire department officials.

Revenue Administration: Collecting city regulatory fees on local alcohol sales. These funds directly offset costs related to local alcohol administration, regulation, education, and enforcement.

Compliance & Education: Educating local business operators on safe sales practices while ensuring commercial compliance with city ordinances and Kentucky law.
Expanding Impact Across the Commonwealth
In his new position as Treasurer for the Kentucky ABC Administrators Association, Crabtree joins a statewide professional organization that represents municipal and county alcohol regulators across Kentucky.
The state association facilitates cooperation, standardization, and professional development among local regulators across all 120 Kentucky counties. As Treasurer, Crabtree will manage the financial affairs of the association while serving as a key liaison between local community enforcement and state-level policy administrators.
