(WKYT) – Berea City Council voted to fill a vacant council seat during a meeting on Tuesday, July 21.
Council voted in Vergil Burnside to fill Ronnie Terrill’s seat following Terill’s resignation. Terill had served on the Berea City Council for 17 years.
Mayor Bruce Fraley said Terrill was known for his advocacy surrounding youth sports and activities for young people.
“From my perspective on watching Ronnie and then working alongside him, is that he is always committed to serving the citizens and businesses of Berea,” Fraley said.
According to Fraley, Council would work to sear in Burnside “as soon as possible.”
