Mrs. Linda Sue “Sudie” Russell of Wayne County, Kentucky passed away on Thursday, July 16, 2026 at her residence in Wayne County, Kentucky having attained the age of 63 years, 2 months & 1 day. She was born on Saturday, May 5, 1963 in Wayne County, Kentucky, the daughter of Estill William “Duck” & Lily (Daniels) Prince. She was of the Christian faith, loved to spend time gardening, canning food, riding 4 wheelers, and spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brother, Bobby Prince; brothers-in-law, Walter “Hooter” Russell, Jack David Russell, Tommy Russell, Marvin Gail Russell; sister-in-law Linda Lou Russell; and aunt Ruby “Doodlebug” Carrender.
She is survived by her husband, Dale Russell of Wayne County, Kentucky; whom she wed on Thursday, April 5, 1979; daughters, Jennifer Sue (& Chris Shelton) Russell, Tisha Dale Russel of Monticello, Kentucky, Donna Gail Sowell, of Honolulu Hawaii; brother, Billy Prince of Monticello, Kentucky; sister Brenda Jean Young of Monticello, Kentucky; sisters-in-law, Besty Prince and Kathy Prince; grandchildren, Tory (& Lucas Branham) Russell, Courtney (& Allen) Perdue, Dallas (& Felicia) Russell, Evelyn Sowell, Walter (& Hannah) Sowell, Samantha Davis, Abigail Davis, Shawn Davis; great-grandchildren, Aiden, Sofia, Hunter “Tweety Bird”, Abeden, Carson, Lilly, Annaleah, Parker, Emma.
The funeral service will be conducted on Friday, July 24, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. EST in the Memory Chapel of New’s Monticello Funeral Home with Bro. Dallas Daniels officiating. The family will receive friends Friday, July 24, 2026 beginning at 1:00 p.m. EST until the funeral hour. A private graveside service will follow.
