(WKYT) – The Lake Cumberland Wildlife Refuge Home of Liberty Nature Center remains closed for public tours and events as the Avian Flu spreads.
Park officials say the disease can be transferred to humans, but is low-risk. They say they are currently more concerned with it spreading to other birds.
The nature center says they are unable to accept animals for rehab from counties that have tested positive, and to ask a regional biologist for help with birds that may be infected.
