(WKYT) – The fourth person whose death was linked to flooding was identified by the Jackson County coroner.
Coroner Conley Tyra said Tony Smith died from a vehicle accident, and that Smith’s death was not flood related.
The Courier-Journal reported that Smith died in an accident away from flooding in the county.
Gov. Andy Beshear had announced that four people died due to flooding, with three victims being in Madison County and one victim being in Jackson County.
Beshear’s office said the Department of Public Health determined floodwater contributed to the crash and ruled the death was flood related.
