From WC Judge Executive Scott Gehring:
A huge thank‑you to everyone who stepped up today — the Wayne County Rescue Squad, County and State Road Departments, and all of our incredible community volunteers. Your hard work made a tough situation safer for everyone.
We do have significant damage across the county, District 2 was hit the hardest. Thankfully not as severe as what some of our neighbors are facing. Magistrates are surveying their districts and If you need to report damage, please call 606‑348‑4241 tomorrow, and they will take your report.
• Main roads are open
• Some side roads remain damaged — please use caution
• Heavy rain and flooding have weakened tree roots, so be alert for falling trees overnight
Our crews and volunteers will continue working as hard as possible to get everything repaired and back in place. Continued prayers for our community and for all the other communities affected by this flood.
Scott Gehring, Wayne County Judge Executive
