(WKYT) – The Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation awarded a grant of more than $20,000 to the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office.
The grant will fund the purchase of a chest compression system designed to deliver uninterrupted, contactless compressions during cardiac emergencies according to a press release.
The device is reportedly intended to reduce first responder fatigue and increase survival rates.
