(WKYT) – A Jackson County man died after he was involved in a multi-vehicle crash in Rockcastle County on Tuesday.
According to the Rockcastle County Sheriff’s Office, around 5 a.m., 45-year-old Matthew Gabbard of McKee was driving on U.S. Highway 421 near Big Hill when a truck crossed into the path of his vehicle.
Gabbard was taken to the hospital in Berea and was later pronounced deceased.
No information was released about the condition of the individuals in the truck.
More information will be released once accident reconstruction is completed, according to the sheriff’s office.
The crash remains under investigation.
