Mrs. Loretta (Keith) Baker of Monticello, Kentucky passed away on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital of Somerset, Kentucky, having attained the age of 75 years and 7 months. She was born on Thursday, November 16, 1950, in Wayne County, Kentucky, the daughter of Obie & Ida (New) Keith. She was of the Baptist faith and a member of Fall Creek Church but attended The Father’s House. Loretta enjoyed tending to her flower garden, knitting, crocheting, and setting a good example for her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Jim Keith; sister, Sue Crase; and sister-in-law, Mary Ellen Keith.
She is survived by her husband, John Baker, whom she wed on May 15, 1971; children, Suzanna (& Jay) Powell and Jonathan Baker; siblings, Donald Keith, Ronnie (& Young) Keith, and Jackie Keith; grandchildren, Dylan Powell, Kallie Powell, Kinley Baker, Kolton Baker; step-grandchildren, Kaden Hollars and Kaylee Hollars.
The funeral service will be conducted on Monday, June 22, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. EST in the Memory Chapel of New’s Monticello Funeral Home with Bro. Amos Dishman officiating. The family will receive friends on Monday, June 22, 2026, beginning at 12:00 p.m. noon EST until the funeral hour. Burial will be in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
