On June 3, 2026, officers with the Monticello Police Department responded to Empire IV Fitness regarding a report of property damage to decorations located outside the business.
During the investigation, officers reviewed surveillance footage that captured a male subject intentionally destroying two statues and two flower pots in front of the business. The damage to the property was estimated at approximately $2,500.
Through investigative efforts, Monticello Police Department officers, with assistance from Wayne County Sheriff’s Deputy Cash, identified the suspect as Jeremy Foster. Based on the evidence collected, the Monticello Police Department applied for and obtained a criminal complaint warrant charging Foster with Criminal Mischief 1st Degree.
On June 4, 2026, Jeremy Foster was taken into custody, and the warrant was served by Officer Thomas.
