Mudbug Mania

Kentucky Wild members recently helped biologists locate and inventory crayfish species during Mudbug Mania, a bio blitz event organized by the Kentucky Crayfish Collaborative.
The primary goals of this special event are to conduct field surveys, document crayfish fauna from a specific region of Kentucky, and to educate professionals who have an interest in crayfish diversity and conservation.
Participants got their hands dirty and collected several specimens from wetlands and streams that were surveyed.
If YOU would like the chance to participate in hands-on conservation efforts like this, consider joining the Kentucky Wild community!
