Monticello Tourism Commission Director, Todd McFarland reports Commission met on Tuesday evening with many items on the agenda.
*The Board agreed to pay for the fireworks at the Wayne County Fair and Horse Show at a cost of $15,000. This was normally paid for by the Fair Board, City of Monticello and Wayne County Fiscal Court.
*The Board approved a $6000 sponsorship/marketing plan with Fox 56 out of Lexington for the Life Liberty and the Lake concert at Conley Bottom Resort on June 17th. Visit Monticello will be getting commercial time and a live interview along with this sponsorship.
*The Board approved a $75,000 budget for the Lake Cumberland Fall Fest which tourism director Todd McFarland will take the lead on this year at the park scheduled October 24th.
*The Board also met in executive session for a brief period of time. No action was taken with the executive session.
