Incident in Burnside Leads to Arrest

Sheriff Bobby Jones reports a Pulaski County man is in custody following an incident in Burnside on Monday evening.
The incident began when Deputy Marcus Harrison went to the Antioch community of Pulaski County to search for David N. Hardwick Jr., age 40, of Burnside, in an attempt to serve an active indictment. Hardwick was being sought on a Pulaski Circuit Court indictment on two separate drug charges.
Deputy Harrison arrived at Hardwick’s residence and located Hardwick sitting in a vehicle in the driveway. Deputy Harrison placed Hardwick under arrest and began a search of his person. During the search, Deputy Harrison located a tin in Hardwick’s pocket containing approximately 4.8 grams of suspected methamphetamine.
David Hardwick was taken into custody and charged with the following:
• Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st Degree, 2nd Offense (Methamphetamine)
• Possession of Controlled Substances 1st Degree (Heroin) (Indictment)
• Possession of Controlled Substances 1st Degree 1st Offense (Methamphetamine)(Indictment)
