Driver of ATV strikes tree in attempt to flee police, deputies say

(WKYT) – A police chase in Laurel County ended in an ATV crashing into a tree, according to deputies.

Deputy Anthony Wagers attempted a traffic stop Monday night after seeing an ATV driving on US 25, south of London. The driver tried to flee, turning down several streets before driving off the road and into a tree.

Both the driver and passenger of the vehicle were arrested.

The driver, 27-year old Harold Miller, was charged with ATV violations, reckless driving, and wanton endangerment in the second degree. He was also charged with first degree fleeing or evading police on a motor vehicle.

Passenger Nikki Hensley, 28, already had an outstanding warrant. She was charged with failure to appear in court.
