(WKYT) – Kentucky First Lady Britainy Beshear announced the creation of the Human Trafficking Awareness Coalition.
The 15-member coalition will be focused on preventing human trafficking and helping survivors, according to a news release, with experts in public safety, law enforcement, healthcare and more being part of the group.

First Lady Beshear will serve as the coalition’s chair, and the group will provide the governor with an annual report of findings and recommendations to help guide further efforts.
Gov. Andy Beshear signed an executive order Thursday, March 26, establishing the coalition.
