The Monticello Police Department responded to a two-vehicle collision Thursday evening.At approximately 8:20 p.m., officers were dispatched to Stop Light #3 (Beldon intersection) for a traffic collision. Officer Jeramy Thompson investigated the incident.
According to the investigation, a 2020 Chevrolet Silverado operated by Matthew McCarty of Waynesburg collided with a 2020 Nissan Rogue operated by Rebecca York, 49, of Monticello.
Rebecca York was transported by Wayne County EMS to the Wayne County Hospital emergency room for treatment of injuries. A passenger in her vehicle, Charles York, 51, was airlifted to the UK Medical Center for further treatment.
The driver of the Silverado, Matthew McCarty, declined medical attention at the scene.
