(WSAZ/WKYT) – Additional details were released about a deadly crash that claimed a man’s life Thursday afternoon on state Route 201 in rural Johnson County, Kentucky State Police said.
Investigators said the crash involved a propane truck and the driver died at the scene.
No one else was involved.
The cause of the crash is unknown now. The investigation closed state Route 201 in that area for hours.
Some people living in the area were evacuated as a precaution, but there were no leaks of any kind, according to KSP.

JOHNSON COUNTY, Ky. (WSAZ) – New information has been released after KY 201 was closed indefinitely due to a vehicle accident Thursday afternoon.
Captain Jamie Collins with Kentucky State Police – Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Region says one propane tanker was involved in the crash.
He also says one fatality has been confirmed at this time.
He says the crash occurred in a rural area, so only immediate homes were evacuated out of precaution.
No fuel leakage was reported.

JOHNSON COUNTY, Ky. (WSAZ) – KY 201 is closed indefinitely due to a vehicle accident, according to W.R. Castle Fire-Rescue.
KY 201 will be blocked at mile marker 9.5 indefinitely, which they say is less than a mile from the Lawrence County line.
A WSAZ crew member is on their way to the scene.
No other information is known at this time.
