(WKYT) – The Liberty-Casey County Rescue Squad covered over 100 miles in search of a missing Maysville man.
Jacob Ring, 28, was last seen Jan. 22 near the Creston Water Tower Spur and Highway 206 in Casey County. The rescue squad described him as a 5-foot-11, 150-pound white man with brown hair and blue eyes.
He was last seen wearing a brown Carhartt jacket, blue jeans, brown boots and an orange beanie, the rescue squad said.
Ring was visiting family in Liberty and is believed to have no local acquaintances, according to the rescue squad, and his direction of travel is unknown.
Search operations that took place Saturday, Feb. 28 did not yield any confirmed contact with Ring or personal effects.
Operations included five ground search teams, K-9 cadaver dog deployments, drone and UAS teams performing aerial sweeps and GPS mapping and documentation of all search tracks.
Search crews covered area south and southwest of KY 70/206 as well as steep ridge systems north and northeast of the highway, the Liberty-Casey County Rescue Squad said, with ground searchers covering 114.6 miles, not including K-9 handlers and dogs.
The Liberty-Casey County Rescue Squad said these efforts were coordinated alongside multiple other agencies, such as Casey County Emergency Management, the Somerset Fire and Rescue Team and K-9 units.
The missing person case remains open, according to the rescue squad.

The rescue squad also asked those living in or around the KY 70/Highway 206 area to check trail cameras, barns, outbuildings, hunting property and remote areas.
