On Monday night, the Monticello Fire Department’s new recruit training class got underway with Chief Kody Ragan, Chief Kelly Ragan, and Recruiter Lex Meldrum conducting the class. Special thanks to Monticello Mayor Kenny Catron from Catron Insurance Agency for providing the meal for the initial class. These recruits are starting on a three-month journey to become certified firefighters.
