At approximately 1:10 a.m. Tuesday, Monticello Police Officer Jason Guffey responded to a disturbance at Mt. Pleasant Church on Branch Road, which is serving as a community warming center.
Officer Guffey was dispatched after a 911 call reported a male subject attempting to tear a billboard from the wall while yelling obscene and disruptive language.
Richard Shane Bolen, 49, of Monticello, was arrested and charged with Public Intoxication and Disorderly Conduct.
Bolen was lodged in the Wayne County Detention Center.
