A Heartfelt Thank You From the Monticello Police Department
As we prepare for our annual “Shop With A Hero” event on Friday, December 19th, we want to extend our deepest gratitude to the incredible local restaurants and community members who continue to support this special tradition.
Several of our hometown restaurants are generously donating a percentage of their one-day sales to help make this year’s event possible. Your kindness provides local children—who might not otherwise experience the joy of Christmas—an opportunity to enjoy a free shopping trip at Walmart, filled with laughter, excitement, and holiday magic.
On the 19th, the men and women of the Monticello Police Department, Monticello Fire Department, Susie Fire Department, and Wayne County EMS will proudly partner with participating children and walk beside them as they choose gifts for themselves and their families. It’s one of the most meaningful days of the year for all of us, and it’s made possible because of you.
To our restaurants, businesses, and caring community—thank you for your generosity, your compassion, and your unwavering support. With just over $12,500 raised, together, WE are making Christmas brighter for 60 very special kids in Wayne County.
