Sheriff’s Department Reports One Arrest

Roger A. Sexton of Monticello, KY. was arrested for assault-3rd degree (on Police Officer or Probation Officer), resisting arrest, disorderly conduct-1st degree, terroristic threatening-3rd degree, menacing, possession of marijuana and fleeing or evading Police-3rd degree.

Sexton was also arrested on several active Warrants of Arrest as listed below.

A Wayne County Circuit Court Indictment Warrant of Arrest for receiving stolen property and persistent felony offender-1st degree. Three Wayne County Circuit Court Warrants of Arrest for 2 counts of failure to appear for a Child Support Hearings and 1 count of failure to appear for a Revocation Hearing on the underlying charges of burglary-1st degree (diversion), theft by unlawful taking or disposition (diversion), criminal mischief-1st degree (diversion), possession of a handgun by a convicted felon (diversion) and persistent felony offender-1st degree (diversion). Two Wayne County District Court Complaint Warrants of Arrest for wanton endangerment-1st degree, criminal mischief-1st degree, leaving the scene of an accident-failure to render aid, terroristic threatening-3rd degree and theft by unlawful taking or disposition-shoplifting. Two Wayne County District Court Warrants of Arrest for failure to appear for a Child Support Hearing, failure to appear for Arraignment on the underlying charges of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of a controlled substance-2nd offense, fleeing or evading Police-3rd degree, failure to register a transfer of a motor vehicle, 4 traffic violations and for failure to pay or show cause on the underlying charge of non-payment of court costs, fees or fines. One Grant County District Court Warrant of Arrest for failure to appear on the underlying charges of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol/drugs (aggravating circumstances), failure of owner to maintain required insurance and 3 traffic violations.

Sexton was lodged in the Wayne County Detention Center.
