At 7:37 a.m. Thursday the Monticello Police Department, Monticello Fire Department and Wayne County EMS responded to a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of KY 90 East and Cumberland Drive.An investigation by Officer Brandon Bertram and Sgt. Josh Smith determined that Shanda Nicole Davis, 31, was operating a Kia car westbound on KY 90 when she rear-ended a Jeep attempting to turn onto Cumberland Drive being operated by 68 year-old Glen Maxwell.
Davis was transported by the Wayne County EMS to Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital for treatment of her injuries. Two passengers in Davis’ vehicle escaped injuries. Maxwell declined transportation by ambulance.
