According to Wayne County Sheriff Tim Catron a Science Hill, KY. man has been arrested after fleeing from a Deputy on foot.
On September 28, 2025, at approximately 9 pm, Wayne County Sheriff Office Deputy Zachary Bybee was dispatched by the Wayne County 911 Dispatch Center for a one vehicle non-injury accident located on North Kentucky Highway 1275. Upon arrival by Deputy Bybee at the scene bystanders started pointing at the Science Hill man as he was exiting his vehicle and stated he’s running. Deputy Bybee gave verbal commands for the man to stop with no response. Deputy Bybee then gave a foot chase and shortly thereafter was able to take the man into custody.
Deputy Bybee charged and arrested Christopher A. Campbell of Science Hill, Ky. for operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol-2nd offense, leaving the scene of an accident-failure to render aid, fleeing or evading Police-2nd degree (on foot), criminal mischief-2nd degree and possession of an open alcoholic beverage container in a vehicle where prohibited.
Campbell refused to submit for a test of his breath, blood or urine for an alcohol concentration level. Deputy Bybee then applied for a received a search warrant for Campbell’s blood. After receiving the search warrant Deputy Bybee transported Campbell to the Wayne County Hospital Emergency Room where the blood sample was taken. The blood sample is being sent to the Kentucky State Police Lab for the testing of the alcohol concentration level. Campbell was then taken to and lodged in the Wayne County Detention Center.
The Wayne County Sheriff Office made the following arrests.
Michael Perdue of Monticello, KY. was arrested on a Wayne County District Court Complaint Warrant of Arrest for criminal trespassing-2nd degree.
Crystal L. Gragg of Monticello, KY. was arrested on a Pulaski County District Court Complaint Warrant of Arrest for knowingly abuse/neglect of an adult by person.
Perdue and Gragg were lodge in the Wayne County Detention Center.
